Restaurants in Hungary usually open from around 11:00 until about 22:00, while bars and ruin bars stay open much later from Thursday to Saturday. On weekdays many places serve a napi menü, a fixed-price lunch of soup and a main course, typically from 11:00 to 15:00. Book a table for Friday and Saturday evenings and public holidays. Many bills already include a service charge (usually 10–15%); if not, a tip of around 10% is customary but never compulsory. Many restaurants also accept the SZÉP card, the employer-funded leisure card.

According to Google, Passport Pub keeps these hours: Mon–Thu 16:00–24:00, Fri–Sat 16:00–1:00, Sun 16:00–23:00. It is open seven days a week. It opens on Sunday too, as many restaurants and cafés in Hungary do. Expect changes around holidays such as Christmas Eve, Christmas, Easter and 20 August, and call first if you are making a special trip. The listed phone number is +36 1 789 9394. It is shown in international format with the +36 country code, so it works from Hungary and from abroad alike; within Hungary you can also dial 06 instead of +36. Its website is passportpub.hu, where you may find prices, details of what it offers or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.5 out of 5 from 481 reviews, a strong result for a pub or beer bar that suggests consistent service.

I do not think charging me 80$ for two beers instead of 8$ was just a coincidence. This is BS. You should be careful with zeros. Never come back again.

I came after they did my Dubai golden visa (they were approved! ;)) but the beer tasted excessively bad.

The Borsodi beer from tap had an awful taste and smell, I think they need to clean the taps more often. The ambiance is great though, service was good.

We stopped for a drink after a long walk. Indoor and outdoor seating. Good selection of beers and wine. No malibu.

The best pub in Buda with great selection on the tab. And they have a lovely garden terrace, which is quite unique in this part of the city.
