Gyerekkori kedves emlékeim fűznek ehhez a templomhoz. A nagymamám a templom háta mögötti házban lakott a 80-as években, és virágdíszítő volt a templomban. Nagyon sokszor voltunk ott és segítettünk neki. Bár inkább csak rosszalkodtunk, de Ő sosem engedte, hogy ott játszunk, még a templom előtt sem, az nagyon nem volt megengedett.

Az első világháború után elsősorban az Erdélyből áttelepült családok számára alakították ki a Pongrác úti lakótelepet. Péterfi József erdélyi pap kezdeményezésére Bacsó Andor és Martsekényi Imre tervei alapján épült a templom. Menekültek nemzeti könyörgő temploma néven. 1925. november 15-én Zadravetz István tábori püspök szentelte fel Krisztus Feltámadása titulussal.

Szép kis templom a Pongrácz úton, némi békességet kölcsönöz eme környéknek.

Kis templom. A környező helyen lakó emberek ide jöhetnek. Közelebb van lényegesen, mint a töltés másik oldalán lévő Szent László téri templom. Bár kinek ez, kinek az jön be.

A kőbányai Ökumenikus Imahét keretében jutottam el ebbe a szép templomba is. Eddig minden este elmentem a rendezvénysorozatra s annyira jó volt látni, hogy estéről estére majdnem megteltek a szent helyek s nagyon jó hangulat uralkodott minden istentiszteleten. De most januárban itt azért meglehetősen hideg volt a templomban. Igen, Kőbányán az ökumenikus törekvés nagyon előtérben van. A lelkészek, plébánosok nemcsak kollégák hanem barátok is - ezt említették, de ez érezhető is. Szerintem ezért is jöhetett létre ez az intenzív együttműködés, aminek már tradiciója van a kerületben.

Mádai atya friss, Beszéde az olajozott ménkü! Mozgása hm... A JÓISTEN éltesse még sokáig!!! Úgy is ,mint ISTVÁN!!! Olajozottabb térdekkel, bokákkal :-) Tüzesebb hívekkel...
