I have just arrived in Budapest for the first time, and unfortunately, this hostel ruined my first impression of the city. After walking a long way to get here, I was met with extreme rudeness and disrespect by the woman at the reception. As a paying guest, it is my natural right to see the room before booking, especially since the online photos were unclear. I simply asked if I could take a quick look at any available room to know where I would be staying. Instead of being helpful, she spoke to me in a very disrespectful manner and told me to just book via Booking.com. If I had known it would be this complicated and welcoming-hostile, I wouldn’t have walked all that way. Due to her terrible attitude, I refused to stay and walked out. This place is definitely not welcoming, and the service is awful. I highly recommend everyone to avoid this place. Do not waste your time and money here!"

Stayed here 1 night due to our flight being anticipated by a day. Staff was extremely friendly and helped us and gave us advice on how to get around town. Rooms clean and affordable. Quiet too.

We only stayed for one night because we had early morning flight. Rooms are comfortable, restaurant is very good and bathroom is really good. The best thing is that is really close to the Budapest Airport. Shuttle goes all night. If we come back we will definitely choose this place before our flights
