About Szatyor Bár

In the short time that I have been in Budapest I have been to this place and its sister restaurant Hadik FOUR TIMES! The bohemian decor, casual atmosphere and great food makes it one of those places that makes you want to call it “my spot.” Tomas, my waiter on the first visit set the tone with his warmth, authentic friendliness and suggestions se the tone for the place and the Waiters on successive visits were equally friendly. My Waitress at Hadik was special also. Funny story— on one of my visits a young handsome guy that works at the place walks straight up to me and gives me my hat that I had left on a previous visit. I hadn’t even realized that I left it but they remembered me! How cool is that? I will be going back and you should try it too!

We came from Rome that’s an expensive city, but we found this place a little bit too expensive. After all the people who works in are so kind and smiling; the food is very good, you can try all the spiced sauces from ungarian cuisine and the meat it’s really well treated in the way of its cooked. Not turistic, suggested if u wanna eat in a local district with locals people. Duck breast and chicken excellent.

Amazing art was drawn in by the sculptre, paintings, and light. Balint took care of us and was extremely kind and thoughtful with service. Food was rich and delicious. Live piano was playing the whole time we were there! WOW talk about great atmosphere

I really liked this place, the interior is unique, fun to look around. What made it even better is the staff working here, they’re always very nice and welcoming, helping in anyway they can, essentially Sebastian. The drinks and food are also presented really pretty.

Szatyor Bar & Galéria on the Buda side offers an incredibly cool, bohemian, and effortlessly stylish atmosphere that makes dining here a treat. The culinary experience is truly exceptional, with the kitchen delivering some seriously impressive dishes. There were 2 of us and I ordered the Malacszuz with creamy mushroom risotto (which was gluten free) and my mom ordered the tagliatelle pasta with shrimp, and both were absolutely phenomenal. The pork was tender and the risotto deeply satisfying, while the pasta was vibrant and masterfully prepared. However, be aware that the menu's allergen labeling might not be correct! We noticed the salmon meal was incorrectly marked as gluten-free, despite containing both couscous and soy sauce. This is a serious concern for those with dietary restrictions. For this reason, always inform your waiter about any and all allergens and ask them to confirm ingredients with the kitchen. Do not rely solely on the symbols printed on the menu. With its stellar food and unique vibe, Szatyor is highly recommended, but be sure to reserve your table in advance.💗9/10
