Budapest District XII is one of Budapest's 23 districts. Life in the capital moves at a big-city pace: businesses often keep longer hours than in smaller towns, many shops, bars and restaurants stay open late, and nonstop shops serve customers around the clock. The Danube banks, Buda Castle and Andrássy út are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Széchenyi, Gellért and Rudas baths and the ruin bars of District VII draw visitors all year. Public transport is run by BKK, with four metro lines, trams, buses and the HÉV suburban railway; on Friday afternoons and before long weekends the roads out of the city jam up, so leave extra time. In Budapest, BKK passes and tickets can be bought in the BudapestGO app, and parking in the centre is charged by zone, typically on weekdays from 8:00 to 20:00.

Between 1825 and 1830, a small forest chapel was built on the edge of Anna Meadow in honor of Saint Anne. Following this, the chapel became an extremely popular pilgrimage site. On Anna Days, pilgrimages were led to the chapel from Budakeszi and the English Sisters' convent in Zugliget. The Saint Anne Chapel survived World War II, but was demolished around 1952-53 as a result of large gatherings of communist workers' organizations. The memory of the chapel was preserved only by the name of the meadow next to it. For many years, a picture of Saint Anne defiantly weathered the elements, hanging from a horse chestnut tree. The reconstruction took place in 1992 after the fall of communism, on the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Budapest-Zugliget Association, with the help of the Salamin family and broad social cooperation.

The original chapel built in the early 19. Century. Communists destroyed it in fifthies. At the end of socialism it was allowed to rebuild in 1992. On the right side of the chapel you still can find the ruins of the old one.

Napjainkban a laposabb részeket telente a sífutók, míg a lankásabb, a Szent Anna-kápolna felé eső eső részét a szánkózók lepik el. A rét felső részén a Pilisi Parkerdő Zrt.által felállított fajátékok vonzzák a gyerekeket. Úgyszólván állandóan láthatók itt óvodai csoportok, amelyeket különbuszok hoznak fel a jó levegőjű játszótérre. A Szent Anna-kápolna közelében több tűzrakóhely és egy nyomós kút csábítja szabad tűzi főzésre, grillezésre a kirándulókat.

Remek hely egy kis kutyafuttatásra. / Wanna go out with your dog somewhere? You should definitely try Normafa. Only 30 minutes from the Downtown.
