We had a stop with my friend at Tejmadar in Etele Mall, Budapest, Hungary. We genuinely like this place and would love to go back some day! BUT! Something weird happened! A lady, who I assume was the owner, came over to our table and was very keen for us to leave a Google review 😀 She wasn’t rude at all, but she was so persistent that it made the whole thing feel a bit awkward. Even the people at the table next to us commented that it probably wasn’t the best way to go about it. And I have to agree. I’m more than happy to leave a review when I actually feel like writing one. I’d much rather have come away and written a lovely review because I genuinely wanted to, instead of knocking a few stars off because I felt pressured into doing it. Dear Tejmadar, please ditch this approach and let people enjoy the place and the good drinks and food, and the nice reviews will come naturally. I came here to have a good time with a nice beverage and food , not to do my Google homework! Still like you though.

We were served very delicious bread with mold :) Coffee was awful as well

We ordered their signature food but it wasn't delicious, didn't look healthy, and was small, but the price tag made it look like I'm in a Michelin restaurant. Stuff is nice, place looks good. There's just absolutely no reason to go there

Nice spot for a quick breakfast or a place to wait for your train. What I liked: The food was tasty, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. What I didn’t like: Unfortunately, there is no restroom available for customers—only for staff—so if you need to wash your hands or use the toilet, you’ll have to go to the nearby mall. Also, the dishes weren’t cleaned very well, which was a bit disappointing.

The place is nice, and so is the staff. The food is very good and appears clean, and the coffee was excellent as well. I recommend visiting it for a quiet and pleasant breakfast. Smoking is not allowed, even outside.
