Tesco Hipermarket Budapest Pólus

Received items as a gift, including baby clothes and baby toys. Tried to return the clothes as they were too small and the gifts bc they were not needed. The employee told me he can take the clothes but not the gifts. This is in direct violation of Tesco’s own return policy as stated on their website. After some arguing and threatening to write in the vasarloi konyv, I was able to get my money back. But not without a fight. The Hungarian’s favorite word everywhere: no. 🤡

Sherlock said to Watson before entering this hipermarket: - "Here we will find everything we are looking for." - "Why do you think so, Sherlock??" - "It's simple, dear friend. Because it's Tesco" Just a good big shop. You come, buy what's needed and leave. Always stable, always comfortable.

I've never seen such greenish catfish meat for sale. It was still over 1000 huf. How are they allowed to sell this?

Good super market with fresh affordable food vegetables and grosseries. Lots of varieties of items you can choose from. You can get home made sausages and other cold cuts. They have a butcher stand were you get fresh cuts of chicken, turkey, pork and cow meat. It's a big hypermarket and hence could be crowded. The self service cashier machines are there for your comfort and ease.

I’ve been shopping at this Tesco for a while, and it has quickly become my go-to store. One of the things I love most is how easy and stress-free shopping here is, especially thanks to the self-checkouts and the Scan & Shop solution. On my last visit, I used Scan & Shop, I could scan items as I shopped, skip the usual checkout lines, and make an instant payment right from my phone. No waiting, no packing in/out—just pay and leave. It saved me so much time and made the whole trip feel effortless. The store itself is always clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate. Aisles are clearly labeled, shelves are well-stocked, and even on busier days, I never feel overwhelmed. The staff are also fantastic—friendly, approachable, and genuinely helpful. One time, I couldn’t find a specific item, and a team member not only pointed me in the right direction but also suggested a great alternative. That kind of service makes shopping here a pleasure every time. Between the tidy store layout, helpful staff, and convenient tech solutions like Scan & Shop and self-checkouts, shopping at this Tesco is fast, smooth, and surprisingly enjoyable. I always leave with everything I need and a big sense o
