Food was great, the service as well, but what made a world of difference is the live piano music, so nice! Even with the noise of little children and the clancking sounds, it was an oasis of peace! Capable musician, beautiful pieces from different tastes of music, all round amazing experience! Must see.

Beautiful place and good food and Lajos the waiter was great. The Danube is beautiful, as the restaurant is at the bank of the Danube. Recommended

Lovely restaurant along the Danube. Lajos looked after us during the dinner. We had snitzel, liver and duck breast with nectarines. Could not fault the food or service, we’ve been here many times and wholeheartedly recommend Vak Varju anytime when visiting Hungary

It’s a lovely lace in a tucked away corner of Budapest. The area is lively in the summer because of the proximity of the Danube but it’s rather quiet in the wintertime. The food is great — it’s a chain and they have a good quality menu. The service is nice but could be a touch friendlier. The ambiance of the restaurant is fantastic even in winter.
