Good restaurant with a little sunshine at the lake.

Budapest's City Park Lake isn’t officially a thermal lake, but it does get warmed indirectly by the nearby Széchenyi Thermal Bath as the warm groundwater seeps into the surrounding park system. In winter the lake then gets a bit steamy and looks very atmospheric. When I touched the water it was .. warm. Properly warm. I think the luckiest ducks in Central Europe live in Budapest, casually swimming in spa-temperature water while the rest of us shiver. Honestly, unfair.

I was jogging in the early morning and came across this park. It was empty and calm. I enjoyed jogging along the lake side.

Awesome place that changes with every season as far as I see reviews. Right now it's fall 🍁 and you can see the stream of hot water pouring with a layer of mist over the water. Really an amazing site to see outside in the big city.

Overall a nice park with many statues and old buildings scattered about it. There are also several toilets,some you pay for,one is free but some of the pay ones where out of action. There also a massive sloping garden with a metal memorial between to two sides of it. When we visited there was no water in either the lake or the moat and it looked like it was going to stay that way for a little while. There is also a brand new cultural centre/music hall just been built in a modern style.
