We came to Auguszt on Fény utca looking for mákos bejgli — in September, of all times — and ended up trying pretty much everything with mák in it. Every single one was excellent. The bejgli was everything we had hoped for: wonderfully thin pastry and an almost indecent amount of rich, moist poppy-seed filling, without being overly sweet. The Makos Cuba is exactly as we remember it from our Transylvanian childhood … it was incredible . It was good enough to bring us back the very next day — when, inevitably, more cake was involved. A beautiful, traditional Budapest pastry shop with genuinely excellent pastries. Auguszt is now firmly on our list for every future visit to Budapest.

Excellent food and service! Looking for some traditional Hungarian cakes and the Dobos and E-80 are really good. The homemade lemonade is also a must try! Love the freshness and authenticity of the food. Thank you for the madeleines from the lovely lady🧡

One of the best pastry shops in Budapest in a charming location with elegant furniture. Maybe the best Dobos torte you can find in the city, with a perfect balanced flavour and a crispy caramel layer. The coffee specialties are superb, above all the Turkish coffee.

The best cafe in Budapest! When you walk in, you’re hit by the most amazing smell of fresh baked pastries. The cakes are both beautiful and delicious, the service is impeccable, and whole place has the most welcoming atmosphere. Definitely a place to stop!

The most adorable and the best cafeteria in Budapest with human touch, best in class desserts and breakfasts so that you will fly to the moon and back😋, and exceptional professionalism in every single way.
