Not sure about the low ratings for the place but their ice cream, especially chocolate is delicious (much better than in other "hip" places). Gesztenyepüré is equally delicious, especially as they use real homemade whipped cream. Sajtos pogácsa (cheese scones) are far superior to many a place, incl. other bakeries and cafés around. As for coffee, if you're not fan of the sour-hipster-type, this place is for you.

Super nice staff. They were closing but saw my son really wants an ice cream and they helped out immediately. Great experience.

The cakes were very good, and everything in general was excellent, except for the espresso, which wasn't the best but was still drinkable (I drink it without sugar and I notice it but if you sweeten it, the situation improves)

The price to quality ratio doesn’t check out. It’s crazy expensive and the pastries are just good, not great. This is my emergency go-to place but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here. The place is ok, nothing more.

It used to be a great place to eat a piece of cake with a nice coffee. But it was about 5-6 years ago, now it’s just a rundown and expensive pastry. The cakes have no taste at all and very low quality, coffee tastes like eater or one dose cooked several times. Would be very nice if someone with a good taste and qualities could take over the manager role for Jégbüfé, so it could be the best again! Otherwise there are many much better pastries close by.
