What I love most about this hotel, beyond the rooms, location, and awesome breakfast spread, is the service. The front desk/office is exceptional, going above and beyond. Let me back that up. First, Adam, at the front desk, helped me to achieve one of my main goals, which was to visit and enjoy the Rudas Baths. It was wonderful! Second, when I discovered my Patagonia rain jacket had been left behind in my friend's room, I reached out to the front desk via telephone from Canada and happened to reach Adam again. He personally passed along my request to look for the jacket to housekeeping. They found the jacket! We worked together to have it shipped to me at home in Canada. The shipping cost was reasonable, and well with it for my relatively expensive jacket. They were so professional and helpful. I really appreciated their dedication to good and friendly service. Exceptional! Special thanks to Adam (Front Desk; sorry I don't have your last name, Adam), Anna Németh (Guest Experience Manager), and Levente Varga (Front Office). I would highly recommend Barceló Budapest without hesitation. Excellent location, rooms, and service.

Great hotel centrally located to all the tourist attractions and a variety of eateries nearby. The rooms have ample space and toiletries were provided. Our stay was during a hot spell and the air conditioning throughout the hotel and rooms was a welcome relief. During our 3 night stay the hotel service staff kept the rooms immaculate. Our stay included a buffet breakfast which was magnificent. From fresh fruit, pasties to hot breakfast items. The young waiters were very polite and kept the restaurant neat and tidy. The hotel seemed very busy but reception acted quickly to clear all the guests.

The location of the hotel is fantastic. In the busiest neighborhood of the city, a short walk from several attractions such as the Parliament, and with several restaurants around. The room was very spacious, with a closed box in the bathroom, something that is not very common in bathrooms throughout Europe. Very hearty breakfast with a lot of variety. But here's an intriguing observation. The honey is in an unpractical sachet, which hardens and cannot be used. I had never seen that. I found the hotel staff a little cold and indifferent, but nothing to be rude. A great thing is that a 5-minute walk from the hotel leaves a bus that leaves you directly at the airport. I found it very practical. Overall, a hotel is a great option in Budapest.
