Just amazing. As a coeliac I felt so comfortable eating here. My partner eats gluten and said this was on par with the gluten equivalent dishes and I agree. The Weiner schnitzel was thin and crispy. The breaded chicken was amazing. The pickled vegetables and tomato salad was refreshing The apple Pastry and custard dessert was so delicious. Amazing service. Thank you.

We LOVED this place - my husband, who has celiac, could order anything from the menu as the restaurant is 100% gluten free. The atmosphere is an old time tried and true restaurant, and the service was friendly and swift. Portions were enormous! Delicious, hot and fresh. The restaurant is a 5 min walk from our hotel and we are definitely thinking about a return visit. Don’t hesitate to try this restaurant, gluten free needed or not.

A Triumphant Return to Bohémtanya My wife Joni and I first visited Bohémtanya a few years ago, and we made it a priority to come back during our current trip to Budapest. The verdict? The experience was absolutely outstanding and somehow even better than we remembered. The Food: I ordered the chicken goulash, which arrived beautifully presented in a rustic cast-iron skillet alongside perfect nokedli (dumplings). The flavors were rich, comforting, and flawlessly balanced. Joni had the Cordon Bleu, served over thick-cut fries and generously topped with shredded cheese. The breading was perfectly crispy, and the meat was incredibly tender (I had to have a couple of bites). The Atmosphere: The environment inside is incredibly cozy. I really appreciate the aesthetic choice of using natural materials like wood and leather throughout the dining room, which gives the space a warm, solid, and inviting feel. The Service: The staff is exceptionally kind and welcoming. They were highly attentive to our needs from start to finish, ensuring everything was perfect without ever being intrusive. Consistency & Quality: Finding a restaurant that maintains—let alone improves—its high standards over th

What an amazing discovery! As a coeliac traveller, finding a restaurant where you can enjoy local cuisine without any worries is always special, but Bohémtanya exceeded all expectations. Everything on the menu is gluten-free, which means you can simply relax and enjoy the experience. The restaurant is warm, cosy and full of character, creating the perfect atmosphere to discover traditional Hungarian dishes. The service was exceptional from start to finish. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming and happy to explain the menu and make recommendations. And the food? Absolutely outstanding. Every dish we tried was delicious, full of flavour and beautifully prepared. If you’re visiting Budapest, don’t be afraid to try the local specialities here – everything we tasted was fantastic. The desserts deserve a special mention as well: simply incredible and the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. Delicious food, wonderful people, a charming atmosphere and the peace of mind of knowing everything is gluten-free. Without a doubt, one of the best dining experiences we had in Budapest. Highly recommended. We will definitely come back!

Love that everything is glutenfree, so nice! We ate dinner here two days in a row. The first day we tried two fried chicken dishes, yum! The second dinner we tried the chicken paprikash and beef stew. We both really liked the beef stew. The staff are so welcoming and fun. Will visit again in the future.
