This is the most important railway station at Budapest with international connections. Also there is the meteor directly at the location below the station. The station is well organised, but busy. The city buses and trams also have access here, in addition to Flix bus stop. The station has luggage storage also at nominal cost.

May 2026 5* This is Budapest main railway station connecting national and international rail network. The building is very nice and historical. The architecture is awesome. The place is fully accessible and well lit. There are shops inside the station and other facilities. The station is connected to metro network (Line M2)

One of the major train stations into Budapest, a frequent backdrop in movies and TV shows film there. I hub for transportation with two metro lines crossing there as well as multiple bus routes. In the old days you had to be extra careful about watching for pickpockets, although probably still not a bad idea to be aware of who’s around you.

Budapest Keleti Railway Station is a very convenient and well-connected station. There is a metro right next to it, which makes transportation around the city very easy. Inside, you can find bars and places to relax while waiting for your train. One of the best features is the large screens where you can easily track your train and platform information. The station is spacious and generally easy to navigate, even for first-time visitors. Overall, a practical and traveler-friendly place.

A huge building and a grand Train station. Since arrived from Prague railway station , this one has a touch of old style train station, rather than a modern look. Cleanliness compared to Prague is limited. People seem to love smoking here and the place is riddled with cigarettes buds.
