One of the best places.🩵 The guy who served me today was very correct. Everyone working there is very helpful, and they offer very good exchange rates. They are very flexible and kind. Only Center Change in Budapest. We come here only because of the guy and their flexibility!

The officer is very rude, he doesn’t give any help. He should learn how to deal with customers. Previously, with his colleague I had a good experience, but he was a disaster and disrespectful. If you ever see that guy at the till, turn away and go somewhere else.

Very friendly staff, I have rarely seen in my 3 years in Budapest such a kind service

This is usually my go-to spot for exchanging money. I’ve always had good experiences so far. There was one time, though, when I exchanged 120€ but only got the amount for 100€. Once I pointed it out to the woman, she corrected it and gave me the missing 20€. I’m not sure if it was an honest mistake or made with bad intentions but mistakes can happen.

Unfortunately, I have to downgrade my previous five star evaluation. In January 2025, the exchange rate was still very good, with a margin of 3 HUF for the EUR. But in the last two months, it has doubled, so there is now a better deal around. In addition, the continuously updated exchange rates on the website no longer reflect reality, tending to show more favourable rates than the actual ones. The commission depends on the amount exchanged, so below 20.000 HUF (about 50 EUR) another exchange office might be a better choice, but the 1% commission for larger amounts is not much more than the Hungarian government's levy on currency exchange (0.9%).
