Fast service and fairly ok exchange rates. No ID was required. In addition they charged a 0.9% commission.

The rate she gave is similar to WISE App and google. But then again i only exchange 30€, so the commission is not that high

Unfortunately, I have to downgrade my previous five star evaluation. In January 2025, the exchange rate was still very good, with a margin of 3 HUF for the EUR. But in the last two months, it has doubled, so there is now a better deal around. In addition, the continuously updated exchange rates on the website no longer reflect reality, tending to show more favourable rates than the actual ones. There's a commission (0.91%), roughly the Hungarian government's levy on currency exchange (0.9%).

I was referred to another money change establishment. It was just west of the euro change by 100 meters. I stumbled to the euro change by accident. Glad I did. I spoke with people in line. They said this is the place to exchange foreign currency. No commission. If locals use this place to exchange currency. It must be alright! I only exchanged $100 usd. I was given crisps new currency. Do not waste your time looking for the best place to exchange currency. Most importantly, do not exchange money at the airport and do not pay commission. Check out the photos.
