My favorite burger place in Budapest! Everything from the menu is perfect, prices are better than average (or at least compared to the service) and the atmosphere of the place is authentic. We usually order the delivery but we even went a few times with our baby. Big recommendation!

g mcfThe atmosphere here is really great; you truly feel like you've been transported into an American pub. We even saw a funny-looking gangster guy with huge muscles wearing a shirt that said "King" on the front, which was great, haha. (Though, to be fair, that might fit a Hungarian pub better than an American one!) Regardless, I'd be more than happy to gather some friends, have a few drinks, watch American auctions on the TV, and listen to Texas radio. For that kind of night, it’s a great spot. However, the place seems to suffer from a bit of an identity crisis. When I first walked in with my family, we felt like outsiders in a funny, innocent kind of way. It felt just like that scene in the movie Desperado when the three American women walk into the Mexican bar full of bad guys. But over time, the restaurant filled up with normal, everyday people like us (no massive muscles, just normal clothes), mostly families and couples. It made me realize that while the pub is designed for drinking with your buddies, the actual clientele consists of normal people just looking for dinner. Popped in for 'Fish and Chips' because it was written in large letters on the window... ... but they don't serve fish and chips (yet)! So we ordered a 'Frankie's Burger' and a goat cheese tortilla. The food came freshly prepared: both were excellent. Good burger patty and served in a fresh brioche bun (from the same baker where I buy my buns). Decent portions, simple but good food at a decent price. I also ordered a draught Guinness: it was an excellent pint (albeit on my next visit I need to train the barman how to pour the first half of the pint at an angle, wait, and then pour the remaining half vertically). They either sell a lot of Guinness, or keep their pipes very clean. Interior is like a 1960s/70s US diner. It's been completely renovated before opening. Very informal and relaxed. Will go again.
