We loved our short stay at the Hotel Castle Garden. We think it is brilliantly situated for exploring Budapest, with the Castle District right on your doorstep and well connected public transport for getting around the city. The room we had was clean, well presented and provisioned. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. We also had dinner at the neighbouring restaurant (Riso) which we thoroughly recommend.

Great hotel but take a taxi from the train station if walking. We walked with our luggage from the Budapest-Déli station. Google said relatively flat with stairs. There were a few banks of long stairways: 50 steps each but hard to tell. The good news is that the garage level exit is street level with bus stops! Great way to get in and out of the city. Our room had a balcony so we could enjoy and afternoon drink and enjoy the surroundings.
