I had a really pleasant experience at this place. The atmosphere is simple but very nice, with a setup that feels similar to a canteen, which makes it relaxed and easygoing. The girls serving behind the counter were very kind, friendly, and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The food looked very appetizing and well-prepared, with a good variety of options to choose from. Prices are also reasonable, around 4000 HUF for a meal, which feels fair for the quality and portion sizes. Overall, a great spot for a casual and satisfying meal.

This is a cafeteria style restaurant where all of the food is precooked and held in serving pans. You pick out your meal as you go through a line. It's not fancy but has a lot of advantages: Service is fast, you can actually see the food before you order it, it's inexpensive, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a quick, no fuss meal this is your place. Pro move here, don't eat at the Grand Market next door, walk a few feet and come here for a better and cheaper meal. This is where the locals eat lunch.

Great food at a great price, plus the staff are lovely. Budapest is a beautiful city with friendly people but the restaurant prices (in the tourist areas are very high). This however was full of locals and understandably so. I can highly recommend.

This is the absolute choice if you are a hungry walker and want to try traditional food at reasonable prices. Nothing fancy more than a self service little restaurant for the locals with fresh daily food. You will not eat in a cosy venue but you will find plenty of options and you can try much stuff since they offer half portions. Even though the menu is in Hungarian they speak English.

Good portion sizes (the small was bigger than expected 🐷) and reasonable prices, but I wish they heated the food, even in a microwave... I went with a colleague at 2pm and it was all cold basically. Nice variety and good taste with some healthy options 😌 The pizza slices are quite large; they microwave it but surprisingly it's not soggy. They also have some menu/course options but it was sold out by the time we arrived 🥲
