Well marked, clean station with buses to the Airport. If you've the Budapest day or 3 day pass, you can use to get the 200E bus here. Info as of July 2026

Make sure when you get off the 200E bus from the airport that you get a ticket (or validate a mobile ticket) before getting on the Metro. There are no ticket machines at the entrance from the bus stop, none on the platforms, or anywhere in sight. Happy to pay for a ticket. Of course there are ticket inspectors in the city centre (Deak Ferenc) waiting to fine (€30) all those tourists hoping to purchase a ticket at their destination. Another reviewer had a similar experience two years ago. A fantastic welcome to Budapest and not a great first impression of this country.

Easy to use with the Budapest 72hour travel card. On some metros we did not get time to scan the QRCODE and were not asked by staff to check. The metros are pretty fast and comfortable (when they're not ram jam packed) Navigation in/out was pretty straight forward with English signage

It's the busiest transfer point between the airport and the town centre. The communal areas, corridors, the bus station, and the exit/entrance of the underground are dirty, stinky, disgusting.

Average station in Budapest. It is renovated but still you can get wet under the roof when it rains! I think there’s a construction trouble here!
