I am not sure if it was temporary solution due to ongoing construction but I was told to take my train to Romania here. The waiting room and ticket office has no AC, making the air unbearably hot. The information system is outdated but working. For foreign travelers, do not expect any comfort such as waiting room at this station. But for your information, walking through the pedestrian bridge, you will arrive at modern shopping mall with good AC, so you may spend hours resting there.

When my night train was delayed for 3,5 hours, I laid down on one of the wooden benches in the station to rest after a long trip from another country and a longer commute to Kyiv ahead. Shortly, a staff man came to me and rudely yelled that I must sit down straight. I expected many drunk and homeless people at this station that act scary and can rob you, but the fact that the staff completely ignores them and only watches teenagers and families so they do not lay on benches is inhumane.

If you are reading this in a panic, it's okay. Lots of us have been where you are. Like the other reviews, it is a hellhole of uncertainty and anxiety, especially at night. I of course missed my night train. I couldn't find the train station even though it was definitely right next to the mall/bus terminal despite asking multiple ppl (few and far between). There is zero signage to help point you specifcally to the TRAIN station itself. DON'T take the elevators as they will confuse you if spacial reasoning is not intuitive. You MUST find that damn glass encased bridge (no, NOT the one coming out of the mall, the other one with the train schedule monitor, do everything so you are going away from the mall's direction), cross it, and then you're in the right place. Still, good luck getting in the right train. I got on the wrong one.

we came with the 200 bus from the airport and continued with a train, everything was easy and accessible

Scary, and the local ticket inspectors don’t make the situation even a bit better by making you wait for long minutes with your unlocked phone out.
