This museum is much more than a traditional money museum. It combines history, interactive games, and hands on activities that make learning fun for both adults and children. I learned a lot about the history of money, finance, and Hungary in a very engaging way. Everything is modern, well organized, and easy to follow. I highly recommend visiting if you’re in Budapest. It’s educational, entertaining, and definitely worth your time!

I recently visited the Hungarian Money Museum in Budapest, and it was one of the most interesting museums I have been to. The entrance is free, which makes it a great place to visit if you are looking for an enjoyable and budget-friendly activity. The museum is modern, interactive, and suitable for visitors of all ages. Instead of simply looking at exhibits, you can take part in games, quizzes, and hands-on activities that explain how money has developed throughout history and how the financial system works. The exhibitions are available in English, making them easy for international visitors to understand. Overall, I highly recommend the Hungarian Money Museum to anyone visiting Budapest. Whether you are interested in history, economics, or simply looking for a unique museum experience, this place is definitely worth visiting. I would give it 5 out of 5 stars.

Really one of the best equipped museums in Budapest. With a very interesting dynamic it offers more than most of pay enter museums. It's a shame though that the coin collection wasn't yet available in the store. However the museums is still great. It is really important to promote financial education.

Was free to visit, but had to make booking in advance. Was easy to find main entrance, was loads of space in "cloakroom/changing room" with provided lockers. Toilets were cleaned and tidy. Was interesting journey with gaming opportunities. Was lot to see and try. We had fun, highly recommending this place, if you wish to know more about history, past and present.
