Wonderful hostel. Stayed in the 4 bedroom section. Very quiet generally and very clean. Staff clean the hostel daily and it felt very comfortable and well taken care of. The receptionists are also extremely friendly and will make sure your stay is as pleasant as it can be. You can choose to socialise and go on all sorts of events or chill in the couches in one of the more quiet areas. Also the rooftop space is very nice. I will definitely come again and I highly recommend it.

Our stay at Maverick Budapest was excellent and, in many ways, completely changed our perception of hostels after a previous less positive experience. The rooms were well equipped, with beds featuring privacy curtains and secure lockers operated via a key-card system. Everything throughout the hostel was consistently clean and well maintained. The bathrooms, in particular, were spacious and modern. The staff were also very friendly and helpful, especially Lucy, who stood out for her hospitality. If you’re visiting Budapest and looking for a hostel, I would highly recommend Maverick. The only significant drawback was the air conditioning in our room, which was not very effective. As a result, it was often too warm at night, and we frequently slept without covers. We did raise this with reception, but the response was quite vague and no clear solution was provided. Other guests staying longer than us mentioned they had also reported the issue over several days without improvement. Aside from this, our experience was very positive overall. We did not try the breakfast, as there are many nearby cafés and restaurants offering plenty of options.

After a disappointing experience at another hostel in Budapest, I decided to book this one—and it completely changed my stay for the better. The staff, especially Bensen, truly made my day. He made the check-in process incredibly smooth and welcoming, which immediately set a positive tone for my stay. What stood out even more was the cleanliness of the hostel and the thoughtful layout, with well-separated bathrooms and rooms that offered both comfort and privacy. I also really enjoyed the social atmosphere and the bar area—it’s a great place to meet people and unwind. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Budapest.

It was my first time staying in a hostel, and I absolutely loved it! I almost felt bad that I was only staying for one night. They organize fun activities at their local bar and even offer morning yoga sessions, which is a great touch and a wonderful way to meet fellow travelers. First of all, check-in was smooth and hassle-free, even though I arrived 30 minutes before the standard check-in time. I stayed in a shared room, but everything was well organized. Each bed had its own privacy curtain, and the sheets were clean and fresh. There was also a secure digital locker assigned to each bed. The bathrooms were spotless and separated for males and females. The hostel also has a comfortable lounge area with charging outlets, complimentary restroom facilities, and luggage storage lockers. They provide all the basic amenities you might need, including a fresh towel, bath gel, and toilet paper. The next morning, I tried their breakfast buffet for €10.00, which offered good value for money. My only minor downside was that the coffee was limited to one serving—I would have happily enjoyed unlimited brewed coffee! A special mention to Aska and Ato at reception, and the rest of the team.
