A really good museum featuring fascinating exhibits from the communist era and life behind the Iron Curtain in Hungary. Definitely worth a visit if you're interested in history!

Memento Park is definitely worth visiting if you are interested in the history of Hungary and the communist era. The collection of statues and monuments offers a fascinating glimpse into the country’s past and makes the history of that period feel much more tangible. A special mention goes to Judit at the ticket desk, who was extremely helpful, friendly, and informative. She took the time to explain things and answer my questions, and I was particularly impressed by the fact that she spoke several languages, including my native language, Greek! We had a very pleasant conversation, which made my visit even more enjoyable. A unique and thought-provoking place in Budapest that I would highly recommend.

This is an very interesting place to visit for sure. It takes about an hour to get here using public transportation, but it's worth a visit. I spent 10 days in Budapest, so I thought I would spend an afternoon here. It costs about $10.00 USD to enter for one person. If you're spending more than five days in Budapest, I would recommend Memento Park.

We took the guided tour of Memento Park and greatly enjoyed it. Our guide, provided so much interesting commentary about each monument as well as background about what was happening in Budapest/Hungary at the time each monument was created/erected. I'd recommend Memento Park, but even more so, I'd recommend the tour. Without it, we wouldn't have understood what we were looking at nearly as well.

Fantastic memorial Park that depicts a thoughtful narrative about the experience of Hungary under Soviet communism, and the revolutionary movements. A bit out of the way but absolutely worth it. Do not do it without a guide though - the guide makes all the difference- and they offer very reasonably priced 70 minute group guided tours which you can book in advance. One if the most thoughtful memorial parks that brings a challenging period to life. Our guide was awesome.
