Restaurants in Hungary usually open from around 11:00 until about 22:00, while bars and ruin bars stay open much later from Thursday to Saturday. On weekdays many places serve a napi menü, a fixed-price lunch of soup and a main course, typically from 11:00 to 15:00. Book a table for Friday and Saturday evenings and public holidays. Many bills already include a service charge (usually 10–15%); if not, a tip of around 10% is customary but never compulsory. Many restaurants also accept the SZÉP card, the employer-funded leisure card. In restaurants the bill usually comes only when you ask for it; check whether a service charge is already included before adding a tip. If you are planning a birthday or another celebration, ask about a private room and a set menu.

We came in very late at 9 and were the only people in the restaurant, but luckily we could still order some food. The chicken we had was tasty and the waiter was very friendly. Would recommend.

As it's next to the hotel I assumed the food would be bland but I was very pleasantly surprised! Had the pork with a wild mushroom sauce and mashed potato - all very nicely cooked. The pork was so moist and the sauce did actually have wild mushrooms. The staff were INCREDIBLY friendly and it's so nice to sit out on the terrace with the little pond. Definitely recommend if you're in the area.

I recently arranged to pick up a friend who was making a connection at Kelenföld station and stumbled upon Mimama when looking for restaurants nearby. I’m so glad we did. The restaurant itself is part of a small complex with a conference center and a hotel and I imagine it’s where most of the hotel guests enjoy breakfast and dinner. They happily greeted us as we stopped in for lunch. The service was polite and friendly and it was nice to see the open kitchen and watch the staff work cleanly and professionally. The gulyás made with mangalica was delicious and the perfect starter for a cold blustery day. I hope the koi in the pond outside the restaurant enjoy the cooler temperatures.

1. Fishery smell at a table. So I moved to another table Checked the Google pic menu which is uploaded by the restaurant. Round photato with a beef looked delicious. Asked the staff what was it. He said it is korket. So ordered it. This menu is young beef steak 2. It took long time to be served Finally food arrived. But came with wedge photo not with kroket. I told the sever it is diffrent from the picture. 3. He said it is same , potato. Ok... dissapointed. But tried beef 4. So tough to chew. Tried again. Three bites consecutively tough. Could not keep eating. Told the server. 5. He said sorry and they cooked this menu again. I waited again. And this time kroket served. It was not out of stock. It turned out they bought wrong potato in the first place. 6. Now meat was tender. But the color of kroket was almost orange color. That means the oil is not clean The waiter asked me if it is ok. 7. Actually, the whole food was super salty. Cannot feel taste of the ingredients itself or the sauce. But i I didn't want to complain anymore. It was too late night . Didn't want to wait for food anymore. 8. When I paid. I realized they charged for kroket separately. Irony. They se
