Just tried the Goulash soup today and it was so bland that it would not be worth even ¢50 (tiny bit of meat). I was disappointed that I paid €11 for this and I had not read all the reviews beforehand; but I'm glad that this doesn't represent Hungarian cuisine (according to others). Well, if you only specialise one thing - langos - you should not put other things on the menu. Plus, I did feel the unwelcomed atmosphere and regret that I tipped her in the beginning.

Everything was perfect, the place looks lovely and they had AC, although the second floor was extremely warm I guess it’s gonna be like that no matter what :)

So the food was mostly good - langos and chicken stew were amazing, but goulash soup tasted bland. The atmosphere was so nice and interior design was very cosy and traditional. Lavender drink had a very strong taste and aroma of forest.

We saw this place on our first day in Budapest as we were looking for trying Goulash and got fooled with the word "Grandma". The Goulash was watery and very salty, like they used a lot of beef bouillon cubes, hardly any beef pieces and a few vegetables thrown in. We also had a Langosh which was good. When I asked the cook if Hungarian Goulash soup is always so salty, she said this is how we make it!

I have to give an honest review because I paid 31€ for our meal. I advise you to go somewhere else. The soup was cold and I was very disappointed! We had goulash, lesco, and a langos. We sat in the restaurant and the service was not friendly. It was pretty empty not many costumers and the service was moody anyway. It was as though we were unwelcome. I had asked for onions and garlic on the langos and when I received it, both of it was missing even though I had nicely asked for it (twice even to make sure they understood) when I ordered. They didn't understand English very well it seemed. The langos had a strange aftertaste- the dough tasted a lot like old oil. The langos wasn't really crispy unfortunately. I didn't like the cheese (the four cheese option) it didn't have a good flavor. The restaurant itself looks nice but the two women that were working there seemed annoyed that costumers came and ordered something (more like came and bothered them). I have worked in service myself and I know that politeness should just be the standard. I know things can be stressful sometimes, but you should not let your mood out on other people. I am from Germany and Germans aren't like that loud
