Cozy neighborhood museum with a variety of items from Óbuda and from Hungarian life.

Three small expositions, very interesting and not just because I spent a few years of my childhood in Óbuda. My favourite was the toy collection on the first floor, but the whole museum is really nicely done. Oh and one of the three museums in Budapest that allow dogs inside :)

A mini history Hungarian local museum , from the manufacturing to shipping development. The toy history on the second floor is part of exhibit which shares about how they toys evolved along with different generations and how it shaped their adult life.

Loved it! Small, but cosy and cute. The chilrens book about museum toys was so beautiful, sadly not in English. But it's still worth buying!!!! I hope it will get translated at one point!

I really enjoyed my time in this museum. Ground floors was about the history of life in Hungary, starting with the roman times. And the upper floor about children's toys. However with the information they gave, they almost never wrote the years things happened. Which really was missing. And the ground floor had absolutely no explanation in English. I would still suggest to visit it while you're in Obuda. Also when I went there the entry was free for the day and they had toys for children to play with on the upper floor, next to the toy exhibit
