Az Óbudai Múzeum fenntartása alatt álló gyűjtemény a világhírű Goldberger textilgyár eredeti, felújított épületében található. Állandó kiállításunk a Goldberger-család és vállalkozásuk 200 éves történetét követi nyomon az 1784-es alapítású kékfestő manufaktúrától a 20. század közepére világhírűvé vált textilgyárig, majd az államosítást követő évtizedeken át a gyár 1997-es végső bezárásáig. Interesting museum. Probably need to spruce up as some activities as they seemed to be outdated and be more interactive.

Wow, this is a true unexpected gem ! The museum tells the story of the Goldberger family textile business and the many changes it went through throughout the years. As a textile designer, witnessing this 200-year legacy was profoundly moving. It was fascinating to follow the factory's evolution—from its 18th-century roots in traditional fabric printing and dyeing, through the mastery of silk-screen printing, weaving, and spinning, all the way to the digital revolution of the late 1990s. To see such a dedicated life's work adapt and thrive through centuries of technological change, surviving the challenges of wars and immense hardships, is truly outstanding and overwhelming to comprehend. I highly recommend a visit if your in Buda ❣️

A small but really interesting museum about the Goldberger Textile Factory. There is a lot to see and experience. The old machines and small models make the complicated manufacturing process understandable. You can admire the beauty of the textiles through pattern books, clothes and photographs as well. If you are looking for a unique experience this museum is worth a visit!

A wonderful modern interactive museum about the history of textiles and specifically the Goldbergers’ factory. It’s small, but truly captivating. You can try on clothing in a beautiful indigo color, try weaving fabric, and see many different looms. I recommend it!

The museum is amazing and I highly recommend the visit. I went on the first Saturday of the month because on that day entry is free, but having said that, I now know that the small ticket price would have been absolutely worth it! The staff was helpful but also let us enjoy the permanent exhibition is total freedom. I was there for 2 hours, reading all the contents (each explanation is in English, on top of Hungarian of course), looking at pictures and materials, as well as videos. The exhibition, which follows the history from start to end of the Goldberger factory, is very well curated and also interactive at times. Congratulations and keep it up!!!
