My fav study spot, quiet and cozy. Highly recommended.

This is a hidden gem in Budapest. A great timeless spot that remains a door to the past. The staff are polite and welcoming. The problems that I wish they fix are mainly the heat in the building and the lack of any water dispensary and because they have some rare gems here you can't go in with your backbag, they get you a closet to store up. All can be tolerated if you're prepared. So great spot, a bit too hot, so bring a multi-cord extensions for chargers and what not because there are not too many electricity outlets, enough water, and sit by one of the fans.

I’ve been using the library services here for more than 3 years now. Love the lockers system

In short: a very nice library go there, it's great, everyone is very friendly. Long review: The last review was 3 years ago and mentioned a temporary closure, so I was a bit worried this would be closed - but luckily it wasn't, so this is the review for your dear stranger to confirm this so you don't have to worry. The library is very pretty and has a large section on musicology and even a piano and listening station, so if that is what you like, this is a must visit. Staff is really friendly and speaks English well, you can get a visitor pass if you don't have a library pass. I didn't have to store my bag in a locker which was nice. You can use this place for studying, but when I was visiting I only saw 3 other people, which I considered very unusual - usually these study places in cities with universities are completely overrun. It was very quiet and a good learning atmosphere. I am really not sure why nobody is using this. The amount of books not about music isn't that big to be honest, but it's fine - and its basically all in foreign languages as the name implies, you can find a lot of different languages here. For example, I'd guess that there are maybe around 700 French b

Awesome selection of books! And not only that they also have children's books, textbooks, movies and literary magazines in many languages. There are even ones in Czech which I wasn't able to find in several libraries in the Czech Republic! Language learner's dream! Also the yearly card is pretty cheap compared to other ones and the space is perfect for studying. I would appreciate some comfy sofas but that's just my need for coziness.
