The best food I’ve ever had in Budapest! I saw the photos and the reviews and decided to try I had already tried some local dishes but was never really impressed We arrived to this restaurant already late and didn’t have a reservation but the waiter was able to find us a table at the ground floor We ordered the veal paprikash with egg dumplings and it was so so tasty! The meat just melted, almost didn’t need chewing and the dumplings were tasty too! We also asked for bread to soak the sauce and it was delicious The inside is really pretty and the restaurant was full, so next time I’m there I’ll make sure to book a table in advance Will definitely return

This cozy place is notable for its traditional atmosphere. The lamb roll and fish tale were our standout dishes. The white wine we chose was also delicious. Of the cold starters, only the foie gras (in its own fat) was a little heavy for us, but it was still delicious. The bread's texture and aroma screamed, "I'm a fantastic sourdough bread!" Prices are slightly above average, but the taste is guaranteed.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An outstanding dining experience! The food was absolutely delicious, with authentic Hungarian flavors and beautifully presented dishes. Every course was fresh, full of flavor, and clearly prepared with great care. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere was warm, cozy, and perfect for enjoying a memorable meal. If you’re visiting Budapest, this restaurant is definitely a restaurant you shouldn’t miss. Highly recommended!

We had a reservation at Rosenstein Vendéglő in Budapest on a Wednesday at 5 PM — and the restaurant was already fully booked, which says a lot. Definitely make a reservation before coming. Once again, we decided to explore traditional Hungarian cuisine, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. For starters, we had bone marrow and goulash — both rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The bone marrow was especially memorable, deep and indulgent, while the goulash was classic and comforting. For the main course, we chose wild boar with red wine, and it was outstanding. The meat was tender, well-balanced, and beautifully complemented by the sauce. The overall experience was truly impressive. The service was professional and attentive, with staff who clearly know both the menu and how to create a great dining experience. The interior of the restaurant adds to the atmosphere — warm, elegant, and inviting without feeling overly formal. What stood out most was the consistency: every dish felt carefully prepared, and the quality was evident throughout the meal. It’s the kind of place where you can really feel the tradition behind the food, but presented with confidence and skill. High

A Masterclass in Hospitality – The Highlight of My Trip! My visit to Rosenstein was, without a doubt, the best dining experience I have ever had. From the moment I stepped inside, the level of service was breathtaking. The coordination of the staff is like a perfectly conducted orchestra: one waiter immediately led me to a beautiful table with pristine white tablecloths, another helped me with my coat, a third presented the menu, and a fourth served fresh water. The attention to detail is truly "next level." A standout moment for me was when I started to squeeze a slice of lemon into my water. Before I could even look up, a waiter was already there, presenting me with a small glass of freshly squeezed lemon juice! I was speechless. Every dish is a true masterpiece, prepared with soul and served on sparkling tableware. The entire team goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels happy and cared for. I will definitely return to Budapest just for this incredible taste and service! Huge thanks to all the waiters who took such great care of me and made my stay in Budapest truly unforgettable. Wow! Simply elite.
