I visited Lukacs Baths, a thermal bath and spa that is not located in the city center. There are several different pools and bathing areas, and we chose this one because the price was low and the time limit is basically unlimited. We paid 15 euros per person, which felt like very good value. You are allowed to enter the baths, but you need to bring bath slippers, and if you are a woman, you have to tie up your hair. The complex has steam cabins, saunas, a regular swimming pool, a lane pool, and the thermal baths. You can use everything I mentioned, but for the lane pool you need to wear a swim cap. The spa elements cost extra. The outdoor bath was nice, although it was sometimes a bit crowded. The indoor thermal baths were lovely and warm, with temperatures of 22, 24, 32, 36, and 40 degrees. We really enjoyed our visit, and I hope this information is helpful.

Know what you need before you pay because they won't tell you (English speakers). Like a bathing cap, or to use the sauna, any of the wellness stuff, the larger lockers.. It was a maze! And I was getting frustrated. I went back to the front desk 2 or 3 times, and no, not everyone speak English. There are many pools and the cold plunge is cold but not really cold. I liked the steam room. Lots of Hungarians here! That was pretty cool.

Great and historic thermal spa at the heart of Budapest. There is a great variety of sauna, steam room, various temperature hot and cold baths. It has become very touristy over the last couple of years but still a great experience and place to spend the day relaxing. Highly recommend!

Lukács Baths is a historic thermal bath and swimming complex in Budapest, Hungary, fed by natural hot springs. It is a local favorite favored for its traditional, less touristy atmosphere compared to larger spas like Széchenyi or Gellért. It is a huge complex with several heated and non-heated outdoor pools as well as the naturally warm thermal spas inside. The vibe feels like you are in the 1950s or 60s. However, there are very modern locker rooms, and they have facilities for so many different services. Massages, mud baths, cold plunge pools and snack bar. It also housesnthe schticky Beer Spa which is a fun one-hour experience you can pay for where you soak in beer ingredients and drink beer in your own personalized tub. We loved our visit.

Whole day ticket, including using inside and outside pools, and saunas was 7000 HUF. To use outside pools, swimming cap is mandatory; if you don't have it, you can buy it at the ticket office for 2000 HUF. There are three outside pools with the water temperature of: 22 °C, 26 °C, and 36 °C, and four inside pools: 24 °C, 32 °C, 36 °C, and 40 °C. Inside pools were kinda busy but almost no one in outside pools. Not so many sun loungers by outside pools; however, there are planty of it on the rooftop. The rooftop was so quiet. Also planty of lockers and showers. You receive chip bracelet to enter the pool and to access the lockers. You can bring your own food and drink but you can eat it at designated area. - May, 2026
