Tucked right next to the iconic Szentháromság Square (Holy Trinity Square), this compact yet charming park offers a peaceful retreat from the bustling tourist crowds of the castle area . The park’s greatest treasure is its unobstructed, postcard-perfect view of Matthias Church, with its distinctive colorful roof tiles and soaring Gothic spire . As I sat on a bench under the shade of mature trees, I could admire the church’s intricate architecture while listening to the soft rustle of leaves—a rare moment of tranquility in one of Budapest’s most visited neighborhoods. Just steps away from the park stands the magnificent Baroque Holy Trinity Column, erected between 1710 and 1713 to commemorate the end of devastating plague epidemics .
