For soldering tiny part of a glass frame, they charged me 6000 forint. It took him 2 minutes to finish the job and it was done very poorly. They didn't even give me a receipt or invoice. It's just ridiculous.

The optician is talkative enough considering he is Hungarian. Can speak moderate English. HOWEVER if they need to speak English to you. You can expect that you will get to experience foreigner price which means no discount + they may not go according to what they said at the front door sticker advertisement... The front door said "Complete Prescription glasses starts from 9,900 HUF" (i can read but I cannot speak Hungarian) Thing is if you walked in and start talking in English. That start range is never true. Even when they may have cheaper option they might not tell you anyway because they think you don't know your rights / their promotion. I got presented an option of about 65k HUF for a complete eyeglasses (including frame) price is for blue cut lenses. Normally this is slightly cheaper than in my home country. BUT the seller seeing I can not speak Hungarian... When asked what is the brand of the lens? (This price in my country , I can at least get Essilor lenses like Crizal) He just doesn't answer and point to the block of lenses that is within the paper bag with the Shop logo on it. So I will never know that paying that much of a price... will I get Crizal from Essilor ???..
