Very disappointing experience with Sixt** I collected my rental car at Liszt Ferenc Airport, and initially everything went smoothly and easily. However, three days later, at around 12:45 PM, I started the car and immediately received a **“Check Engine – Repair Needed”** warning. The car was running very badly and was clearly not safe or suitable to continue driving. I contacted Sixt Assistance straight away and sent them photos and a video showing the problem. Despite being less than 200 km from the airport, it took almost **6 hours** for a replacement vehicle to arrive. The replacement car was finally delivered at around 6:30 PM. This completely ruined our plans for the day, especially as I was travelling with my **2-year-old daughter**. What was most disappointing was the lack of customer care — nobody offered a proper apology or any compensation for the significant inconvenience and lost time. Unfortunately, the replacement car also had a problem: **the window would not go back up properly.** I expected much better service and reliability from Sixt. Nada recomendado, alquilamos un coche para los días de Gran Premio, intentan estafar con daños y con kilometraje excedido. Abstenerse completamente de alquilar un coche aquí si no queréis tener problemas después del periodo de alquiler

We had a very disappointing experience with this rental company. Before renting the car, we clearly informed the employee that we would be traveling to Bratislava, Slovakia, and driving approximately 400–500 km. This information was acknowledged and even recorded in the rental agreement. However, we were never informed that the rental included only 120 km or that additional mileage would result in significant extra charges. Had this been explained, we would have chosen a different rental package. The total price presented to us was €132.50, including full insurance and downtown Budapest return, with a €300 security deposit for potential traffic fines or similar expenses. Despite this, we were later charged approximately €500 in additional fees. Even more concerning, the charge was processed on June 2, although we had returned the car on May 16 and remained in Hungary until May 20. If the charge had been communicated earlier, we could have visited the office and discussed the issue directly with the employee who handled our rental. We rent cars across Europe several times every year, and this is the first time we have experienced such an unexpected and poorly communicated charge
