About Amrita Jógaközpont

Kevin és Erika 2006-ban költözött (vissza) Magyarországra, hogy itthon is erősítsék az IYENGAR jóga metódusát. 2006-óta számtalan tényezőnek köszönhetően hazánkban ugrásszerűen megnőtt az ezt a tradíciót követők száma. Többek között nekik köszönhető, hogy a hazai IYENGAR jóga élet bekapcsolódott a nemzetközi vérkeringésbe és szoros kapcsolatot ápolunk az indiai anyaintézménnyel. Nem túlzás azt állítani sem, hogy a már 2011-óra működő Magyar IYENGAR Jóga Szövetség létrehozásában is oroszlánszerepet vállaltak. Az Amrita Jógaközpont 2008. májusában jött létre azzal céllal, hogy egy kifejezetten az IYENGAR metódusnak szentelt hely jöhessen létre. Ezt a metódust gyakoroljuk nap mint nap és ezt szeretnénk a legjobb tudásunk szerint átadni.

Highly recommend to anyone in beautiful Budapest. This is a dedicated Iyengar centre. I instantly felt welcome. The centre is run by very dedicated teachers with a wealth of knowledge & experience. Thank you !

Great place to practise yoga. I really enjoy the creative handling of demanding asanas. You don't need to try longer or push harder - you are shown many different approaches to the pose, so there is a high probability that something will work for you and suddenly you will find yourself doing something you could not do for months or years before. Teachers continue to learn all the time and share things that inspired them with us. They also provide modifications in case of any issues or adjust the entire class if several students complain on the same thing (shoulder pain for example) at the beginning. Plus, they speak English :).

Iyengar yoga. I love this place. The instructors are great and they do remember to adjust exercises to your problematic points such as a bad knee.
