I got here at like 2:10 pm, and I went up to the reception desk, and when I tried to check in, the receptionist (Rebeka) told me that my check-in isn't until 3:00 pm. She was completely unwelcoming and unsympathetic. If you're going to implement a stupid and petty policy like this, you could at least be polite about it. Let me tell you why it's a stupid policy, and why 99% of hotels throughout my entire life let you check in as soon as your room is ready, rather than have you needlessly wait until a particular time: I went to the grocery store and came back at about 3:05. The line to check in was now almost out the door. All the people who had arrived before 3:00 and were turned away had now come back all at once and overwhelmed the reception desk. There were about 15 people waiting to check in, and it was only Rebeka and an older guy (Zoltan) who seemed like he was a new employee and didn't know the operating system very well. I thought my check-in time was 3:00 pm? Well now I have to stand in a line waiting when I could be in my room. And people continued to pile up behind me. Now this hotel has made a bad impression on me and destroyed any goodwill I might have toward it. From t

Good: * Great location, very convenient. * The rooftop bar is a nice feature with a good atmosphere. * The blackout curtains in the rooms are excellent and really help with sleeping. Bad: * The breakfast was very disappointing and quite limited. There were not enough options, especially considering the hotel’s standard. * The rooms were generally not very clean. * There was an unpleasant smell coming from the toilets. Unfortunately, even the toilets in the lobby had a noticeable bad smell. Overall, the location and some of the hotel’s features are good, but cleanliness and breakfast quality need significant improvement.

Superb value hotel. Great breakfast, friendly staff who speak English, modern rooms with comfy beds… right next to tram stops. Admittedly, it’s one bridge or so down the river from the centre of things, but the #4 or #6 into town and the #2 and #23 along the river are frequent and will get you anywhere you need to go quickly enough, including both main train stations Keleti (Vienna) and Nuygati (Prague, Berlin)
