RUDE STORE ASSISTANT NEEDS TO BE FIRED. As pointed out in other reviews of this store there is an elderly woman who works as a cashier who is extremely rude and downright nasty. It is obvious she has issues with tourists and she also makes a point of then slagging you off in Hungarian to other customers or staff while laughing at you. This would not be acceptable behaviour in the UK and it shouldn't be acceptable in Hungary. If the store manager reads this please fire her or at least put her in a non customer facing role.

DO NOT USE THIS STORE. Male store "assistant" was physically and verbally aggressive when we mistakenly tried to bag our groceries as we scanned them instead of placing them directly on the tray. As tourists, throughout Europe and Hungary shop staff have been nothing but helpful and understanding. This bozo treated us like criminals.

Very stingy people. Unfriendly and not aware of the word service. There is a bulldog guy at the door who assumes that everybody is a shoplifter . You pick up your shopping, pay and then you go to pack your shopping outside . Point is I bought several bags of paprika powder as souvenir . And the cashier lady handled one of the bags poorly, by the time I was packing every thing got red and messy . They came out to protest .. it took Some effort to change the defective bag. They came and cleaned the mess but didn’t offer to clean my bag and other things inside … bad experience… would have loved to return the whole shopping . Keywords: arrogance, unfriendliness, xenophobic?, avoid the risk of such an experience, go next door …

The elderly woman with short hair (wearing blue eye shadow today) at the counter was very, very rude. I went to check out after buying a lot of things, but I didn't know what happened she just stared at me and rolled her eyes at me. I asked her what happened, but she just complained impatiently to the people around her in Hungarian. Her attitude was so aggressive that I asked to see their manager. Everyone said the manager wasn't here (I didn't think so) and they found a clerk who spoke English to talk to me and the clerk said "she was rude but she was tired after a long day of work and that's why she did this to you." "Honestly this is no reason to treat any customer rudely at all. I said I just wanted an apology, and the woman rolled her eyes at me and walked away, which was an unacceptable offense. I was surrounded by a group of people, almost no one spoke English and said "no english" to me. The atmosphere was so terrible. Although I was embarrassed, I couldn't help crying because I felt bullied. But when they saw me crying, they suddenly became panicked and called the rude lady who walked away back. she also became slightly panicked, and then began to apologise to me and even

Lady at the cashier with short hair is the most unfriendly and rudest person I ever met and made me never want to visit Budapest again. Do not recommend this place and wanted to give zero stars but it seems like one star is the minimum. Lady at the cashier with short hair berated me because I did not get a "ticket" for the bread, threw my groceries, rolled her eyes and sighed at me and told me I "need to speak". Go to other supermarkets as recommended by the other reviews where you won't be treated like this.
