Very disappointing experience at Digel in Budapest. After our visit, it was impossible not to notice the stark difference in how customers are treated. The staff were attentive, patient, and eager to help Hungarian-speaking customers, while foreign customers seemed to be virtually invisible. As non-Hungarian speakers, we repeatedly felt ignored by the sales consultants. They would walk past us, avoid eye contact, and make no effort to offer assistance unless we actively approached them. Even then, the level of engagement was minimal and unhelpful. What was particularly frustrating was seeing the contrast in service. Hungarian customers were given detailed attention, recommendations, and personalized assistance, while foreign visitors were left to browse on their own as if they were not even there. It genuinely felt like the staff were pretending not to notice us. A clothing store selling premium menswear should provide the same level of professionalism and courtesy to all customers, regardless of the language they speak. We visited Digel in Budapest to find a wedding suit for my fiancé, and the experience exceeded all our expectations. They have a good choice of suits and vests, and also a nice range of accessories — shoes, belts, ties, and pocket squares — all in one place. We ended up buying everything there. We had visited two other shops beforehand, and choosing Digel was absolutely the right decision. The quality of every item is excellent, and the fit on my fiancé is perfect. The staff are genuinely kind and helpful, and the level of service is outstanding. They offer tailoring on-site, and when the matching tie and pocket square weren't available in stock, they kindly offered to place a special order so everything would coordinate perfectly with the vest. From start to finish, everything went smoothly. My fiancé is not someone who enjoys shopping, but even he had a great experience — we found his suit quickly and easily, and the team made the whole process effortless and enjoyable.
