Spacious, clean and perfect location next to the Danube and close to Margaret-Island. Great swim teams practice hear in the early mornings and late afternoons-evenings. In between it is open for the public.

Pros: ​Affordable. ​The facility is relatively clean. ​The 50-meter pools are divided in two, allowing more people to fit in the lanes relatively comfortably. ​Cons: ​Having only two pools is not enough, even when divided; it can get quite crowded. ​The building is ugly from the outside. ​The interior is modern, it feels like an office building lobby. ​You aren't allowed to wear shoes in the locker room area; furthermore, many people leave their shoes out in the foyer, which looks quite messy. ​There are no separate shoe compartments at the bottom of the lockers, so you have to place your clothes on top of your shoes. ​Some of the staff could be less arrogant. ​The jacuzzi should be larger for this many people, and it should have been placed on the side facing the Danube so we wouldn't have to stare at the housing estate.

Had an amazing experience swimming at the Duna Aréna today — truly a world-class facility. Easily the best swimming complex I've ever been to. The arena has multiple pools, including a top-tier competitive pool where I did a solid 2,500-meter workout and even shared a lane with a friendly local Hungarian swimmer. The facilities are spotless and professional — everything from the pool temperature to the lane organization is perfect. After my swim, I headed to the sauna area, which was absolutely incredible — a pristine space with multiple dry saunas, steam rooms, cold showers, and even ice stations. It felt like a high-performance athlete’s training center that’s open to everyone. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Budapest who wants a serious swim in a truly world-class environment. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Impressive facilities. There are 2 Olympic swimming pools. One of them is split into two 25m halves. The price is cheap for such a high-end facility. For an extra, you can also use the saunas and wellbeing zone. Everything is clean and well taken care of.

I was here for a free event (World Aquatics Artistic Swimming World Cup 2024) and I have to say the Arena is magnificent, both inside and outside, due to its location on the Danube north of the city centre. The facilities are in good shape and clearly looked after. It's true that staff, comprising security, isn't really friendly or helpful, but that's the only downside.
