I liked this place a lot, the change rate is fair in my opinion. I changed 50 EUR to HUF and I looked it up on the net it says 18 860 HUF, they take %1 commission and based on their rate it was 18 800 and -200 HUF for commission (the least amount is 200 HUF), thus I got 18 600 HUF. Like I said I think it is the best because I changed little money somewhere else and they charged more than here. Plus always be careful about the scammers that are nearby the place (I didn't see one in here but I saw a guy nearby the entrance at western union interchange at the train station), they are standing close and when they see you they say something like "you wanna change money" just say no or nothing then proceed to the entrance, the officials like this place will give you receipt and you can ask how much can I get for like 50 EUR to HUF and they will show you the amount, then if you like it you can make the payment.

When I went to exchange money, I gave 40 euros. They showed me something around 12,800 in return. But since I had researched beforehand, I said, “That’s way too low. It says around 15,800 online.” Then they said, “One second,” and told me 14,757. Finally, they said, “This is the best I can do.” I said, “Alright, I’ll accept that.” I got 14,750. So if I hadn’t known or checked beforehand, they would have shortchanged me by at least 5–6 euros. Be very careful. Ask twice. Additionaly it was in Train Station 🚉 Keleti Not outside

I got 33360 forint for 100 usd with everything included, which is 2% of the official currency rate for that day. That is one of the best rates at any money changer and way better than any ATM rate.

Best currency exchange site in Budapest. They have the best rates, and the guy is really friendly and helpful. It's accessible easily from Keleti railway station. Definitely exchange here and not in the airport when arrive.

One of the best exchange rate in Budapest right across the main train station! Please note that if you exchange more than 300,000 HUF they are obliged to take a photo document from you and you have to sign a lot of documents but that is probably the case in all the money exchange spots Anyway, great service and great rate!
