Perfect as always. the best sushi we have eaten and always a special occassion whenever we return to Budapest. Big compliments to the kitchen staff. It is pricey but it also deserves that. My partner would say the rice is cooked to perfection, their favorite is the tamago. It feels to them as if their mom cooked for them. I believe they serve their own soy sauce which is also amazing. The box sets are lovely and nothing like your typical takeout sushi, each piece is tended to and crafted like a valuable artwork. Truly lovely.

To make a long story short - it’s excellent. It’s a small restaurant and they are quiet busy. They have a big menu of sashimi, bowls, cold and hot starters , sushi and more. I really liked the freshness and taste. Especially the fried oysters, toro and big shrimp. Perfect :) Thanks to the staff.

The best Japanese authentic place in Budapest with always fresh fish, amazingly served, outstanding quality, super friendly staff and professional chef. Love returning to this place again and again for a great food🤗

It was only by pure coincidence that I discovered this hidden treasure, Kicsi Japan at Szent István Krt 21, and I was immediately welcomed so warmly by their genuine Japanese staff. I also looked through some of the reviews from my fellow Google Guides and I have to say that I feel just as happy with my own experience. I chose the Foie Gras Temaki and the Salmon Cheese Temaki, and both were not only fresh and prepared with care, but also wonderfully flavourful. The interior, as you can see in my photos, feels incredibly authentic and is truly something special. What really stands out is the positive vibe and the lovely energy of the staff. I have recently returned from Osaka, and being here honestly made me feel as if I were back in Japan again. I absolutely fell in love with this place. The staff are really friendly, and the whole place has this welcoming atmosphere. For starter, we had Edamame beans, which were nice and sweet. Then we ordered Fried shrimp roll, avocado maki, and two different kinds of temaki. All of them were fresh and tasty. I really much recommend this place, but beware, this is a small restaurant, so if you go there with more than four-five people, you might end up without a seat.
