Great location near Deli Metro and Rail station connecting you quickly into the city! Had a lovely superior room - comfy bed and great shower. Refurbishment is lovely and the rooms very modern! Lovely view of the castle! Couple of negatives - The grouting in the bathroom was a bit dirty and I think the fridge needed a wipe. A little frustrating as we had late check out with Accor Gold but they kept calling the room asking when we were checking out despite it being written down - they couldn’t understand why we were still in the room! I would definitely return!

Having stayed at several Mercure hotels around the world, I was somewhat disappointed with Mercure Budapest Castle Hill. In my opinion, the property does not fully reflect the standard I usually associate with the Mercure brand. The room itself was acceptable, with a comfortable bed and a nice view. The breakfast was also good, offering a satisfactory variety of options. The location is another positive aspect, especially for visitors who want easy access to Buda Castle and public transportation. However, the bathroom was very small and uncomfortable, feeling more like what I would expect from an Ibis property rather than a Mercure hotel. The biggest disappointment, though, was the restaurant service. Several members of the waitstaff came across as rude and unfriendly, which negatively affected the overall experience. Overall, while the hotel has some strengths, particularly its location, breakfast, and comfortable beds, it falls short of the Mercure standard I have experienced in other countries.

I apologize for the delay in sharing my review, but I just wanted to express my heartfelt gratitude for the wonderful experience my wife and I had during our stay in November last year. The location of the hotel was perfect, allowing us to explore the beautiful surroundings easily. We truly had the best anniversary ever, and a significant part of that was due to our stay here. The rooms were exceptionally clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly. A special shoutout to receptionist Nikolett, who was fantastic, professional, and provided us with a warm welcome. She went above and beyond to help us plan our visit, which made our experience even more memorable. Additionally, we were pleasantly surprised by the lovely room decoration arranged for our anniversary, which added an extra touch of magic to our stay. Thank you once again for everything!
