The restroom has no soap or toilet paper. The cashier was rude — they didn’t greet me or say thank you.

What a wonderful customer experience at the MOL gas station near Keleti Railway Station in Budapest. I arrived around 10 PM and, after buying food and drinks, made the terrible mistake of believing that a paying customer quietly sitting for a couple of hours while waiting for a ride was somehow acceptable behavior. The two employees on shift were quick to educate me that the station is “not a waiting room,” which was truly eye-opening. Apparently, once you purchase something, the next step is to immediately disappear into the night like a respectful customer should. Their attitude was impressively rude and aggressive for absolutely no reason. Only after firmly pointing out that I was, in fact, a paying customer who wasn’t disturbing anyone did they finally leave me alone. Customer service clearly isn’t their passion — but unnecessary confrontation definitely seems to be. If MOL is aiming for the atmosphere of “we tolerate customers at best,” then congratulations, mission accomplished.

This is a scam. They withdrew 23,000 forints ($70) from my account instead of 5,000 ($14). First they told me to wait until the money came back, it didn't. It was more than 2 weeks ago .Then they told me to solve the problems with the bank, the bank said that they can't solve this problem . Don't use their services if you don't want to lose your money.

The shop is great, 5 star. Staff is weird though, 1 star. Friends say that before or during some hungarian soccer game, gas station guy was trying to get money from those who want to park their car in the area. No receipt though of course...
