If you're more into local life than generic places for tourists this place is worth this 45 minutes travel from the city centre. Food is very very good (look at the plates of locals and order the same, I went for basic schnitzel and stock with liver dumpling and they were great but I also envied other guests looking at their plates). Atmosphere even better. And they speak some English, they have English menu so you can communicate. On Sunday 1 pm there was no table free, I had to cone back later. But no worries, the neighbourhood is really beautiful, worth a walk (particularly Wekerle).

First time experience here but quite disappointed, we have 5 asian, ordered 3 small soups, 2 big soups and 1 dish for 2 as in picture. We ordered as the price in menu, but when the bill came out, restaurant gave us a handwritten bill that we didn’t understand. And turned out, the big dish with meat and rice cost 14000ft but they charge 16000ft because we have 5 and share that dish?! in my group even have Hungary citizen. A small fish soup cost 3500ft? But other soup with same size only over 1000ft! Unreasonable! If Asian comes here, please becareful and ask for details about your order!

I can confidently say this is the finest authentic Hungarian restaurant in Hungary. The atmosphere is perfect, the staff is incredibly kind, and the food is both authentic and delicious with generous portions. If I were to recommend a place to eat in Hungary to anyone in the world, this would undoubtedly be my top choice! I highly recommend this restaurant!

The atmosphere of the place resonates to the mood of the 1900’s Hungary with its interior and menu. One can find a great number of traditional Hungarian dishes along with international selections. The garden terrace on the backyard is open during summer and quite nice. Food is delicious, portions are big. Drink selection is poor. Prices are bit higher than local average. We couldn’t pay by card.
