Optic World Exclusive - Aréna

We entered the store, but no one greeted us or offered any assistance. I approached a consultant myself and asked in English for help choosing sunglasses. She replied that she did not understand and simply stepped aside. I understand that not everyone is expected to speak English fluently. However, even without speaking the language, it would have been possible to try to help through a translator, call another consultant, or at least show some interest. Another detail that felt unpleasant: while we were trying on different sunglasses, none of them were cleaned or wiped. The consultant only started wiping the glasses after we said that we wanted to buy a pair. Before that, there was no attention to this at all. Maybe this style of service is normal for some people, but I did not feel like a customer whose purchase the store was interested in. For a premium eyewear store, I expected a much higher level of service.

I had a very interesting experience there at Arena. On the 25th of November, I went in the store and selected a frame which i liked which cost around 100,000ft, i later asked one of the salesgirls that i’d also like to order a lens as well. I had a paper already from an eye specialist and i showed to her, so i wouldn’t need another examination. She didn’t even look at the paper and immediately discouraged me from getting the lens from their store saying it takes too long to arrive-around 2 weeks or more because they don’t have the machine to make it and she said i should go to any other store to place the order. After making the purchase for the frame only, on my way out i saw they give up to 50% discount if both frame and lens are bought from them(my loss). Well, on the 28th of November i went to the same store but at Árkád to order the lens. The salesman was very professional and helpful, he explained in details my options and afterwards placed the order which arrived in 2 working days….interestingly they didn’t have the machine as well. So i give a star only for my bad experience at Arena.

Everyone is incredibly nice, and as a foreigner it’s heart warming to receive amazing service in English! Absolutely love the glasses we chose, and looking forward to picking them up in a few weeks ❤️
