Absolutely Lovely ! One of the best restaurants in Budapest, both affordable for real quality food and an amazing space to be with your friends, family, professionnal circle or others. This place really blew me away about 3 years ago, and I have been returning ever since with a bunch of people that have confirmed the same things, good food, exceptional wines, amazing ambiance and a helpful and joyful staff. 10/10 Must Visit if you are in Budapest !

Park Vendéglő – A True Buda Gem! Park Vendéglő is the perfect blend of everything I love about Budapest dining. Warm, unpretentious, and full of character. The atmosphere is superb: not too posh, yet still ideal for a date night. It has that unmistakable Buda civic charm: relaxed, friendly, and authentic, making it just as welcoming for families as for couples. It’s clearly a favourite among locals, but it’s also exactly where I’d send any visitor who wants to see how real Budapesti spend a summer evening. On our visit, the owner himself served us, and his friendliness and easy-going approach instantly set the tone for the evening. The menu is refreshingly simple, no overwhelming list, just a small, confident selection that makes choosing a pleasure. The food? Absolutely outstanding. The catfish and the “Fledermaus” steak were to die for, bursting with Hungarian flavours but without the overhyped, touristy twists you see elsewhere. We ended with a light and lovely túrógombóc, the perfect closing note. We are both locals and tourists in a way — originally from this neighbourhood but living abroad for the past 15 years and this place captured everything we missed about dining in

Another hidden gem of Budapest! The beet root soup is delightful. Plenty of vegetarian options on the menu. Highly recommended.

Great food, excellent service, nice atmosphere. I have been here twice. One of the best Hungarian restaurants I’ve tried in Budapest. They changed their menu for summer season, a great selection since I last came. There are still items I want to try, I’ll be back! Update: came back for a meal a year later, service was subpar and I am having stomach issues from their stuffed cabbage with venison. The waiter forgot my appetizer order, failed to inform us that an item was missing from their already quite limited main courses, and the stuffed cabbage was quite salty.
