Loved it. It's so much fun. One of the best bars in town. Please visit if it's your first time in Budapest 👍

Have been there many times. It’s a legendary place, and I love it . The people who work there, are absolute friendly, and the beers are good , and the serving too. I will come back every time I’m in Budapest, and drink a few nice beers, and talk with people.

More than 50 complaints and one star reviews from google and TripAdvicsor. That these degenerates are still employed is astounding and outrageous. Bouncers in Hungary are not law enforcement officers and do not possess the same legal powers as police. Their authority is limited to maintaining order and enforcing venue-specific rules, such as checking IDs, refusing entry to underage (which there seems to be a lot of because they never do ID checks and yet it is required by law) or intoxicated individuals, and managing disruptive behavior. They are authorized to use reasonable force only in self-defense or to prevent imminent harm, and this force must be proportional and necessary. Bouncers cannot forcibly remove patrons from a venue; they must call the police to handle such situations. Regarding following patrons or people, bouncers are not legally permitted to pursue or detain individuals who are leaving a venue, especially if the person is not engaged in criminal activity. Red Ruin and staff, have engaged in criminal activity and I have video evidence of it from my bodycamera. Be advised, should you persist with your criminal activity I will file a report with the proper author

Beer is ok, bar is ok, just don't expect the welcoming tourists attitude. It's just a small pub with fun decoration that usually you can't fully enjoy without disturbing someone on their table. You need to have company there because it's more of a local small pub and you'll be bored pretty soon after if you just came for the looks of it. If you're here for the beer - cheers!

Unique and cool little spot to grab a drink. All of the Communist propaganda art was badass. The drinks were good and the music was kickass! There is a downstairs that was closed when we were there (Sunday) and I hear it has even more chill art. Stop by and chill for a bit...
