Something is seriously off with the meat section, every singel time I have been visiting you can feel the smell of decaying meat, it often fills large part of the store, you can often even smell it from the entrance. I would not buy any meat under any circumstance from the meat counter.

I’d really recommend carefully checking the smell and color of the meat before using it in your dishes. I bought a pack yesterday, it’s still within the expiry date, but the meat pieces were different colors and smelled different too. Just be careful before using it.

This is my first interaction with locals from Hungary as I just arrived in as a tourist excited to see the country however it was met with a very rude impolite behaviour from the boy who works at the self scan side of the supermarket. We were trying to figure out why after scanning one product, it didn’t scan other products and he jumped in with a very bitter impolite behaviour and gestures and without even speaking to us, he fixed the issue but his behaviour was way worse than the problem. Need to be re-raised by his parents as he seems to be young, otherwise he should be punished or warned at his job.

Such a poor experience. We came here on a 35 degree day (level 3 heat warning), and there was no refrigerated water! Because of this we purchased an alcohol free beer and a radler, both refrigerated. I was already disappointed because of the lack of cold water, but then they tried to charge us more for the drinks. We asked them to please correct their mistakes, which they denied, then made us wait for 15+ minutes, then denied it again (the manager showed a different piece of paper than what we saw) - but the manager made me show where we got it from, and had to admit that she was wrong, not us. She was so rude the whole time, not at all helpful! After spending 30 minutes there we got our drinks, but no cold water.

This spar supermarket branch is big enough, alot of selections and varieties. Typical budapest supermarket where you have to weigh your own choice of vegetables.
