It was a very impressive exhibition. The guided tour was very well done and dealt with difficult subjects regarding war and oppression in a very respectful manner. The exhibition should not be visited with children who are unprepared with regard to knowledge about war, desasters and how this affects people. We liked how the tour was structured and visitors were always prepared for what they would see in the next room. We liked the very strong message of the museum and tour: Humanity should always strive for peace, because war is such an atrocity. My teenage soon was very impressed by the museum and tour. Strong recommendation to visit.

An Unforgettable Experience – Truly One of the Best Tours in the World! We have traveled all over the world and taken literally hundreds of guided tours, but our visit to the Hospital in the Rock (Sziklakórház) in Budapest was easily one of our absolute favorites. The site itself is extraordinary—a deeply atmospheric, incredibly well-preserved piece of hidden history carved beneath Buda Castle. What truly elevated this from a great visit to an unforgettable highlight of our travels, however, was our guide, Csillag. Csillag was simply outstanding. She was: * Warm and engaging: Her friendly demeanor immediately drew everyone in. * Exceptionally knowledgeable: She brought the history of WWII and the 1956 Revolution to life and the role the hospital played * A master of pacing: She kept the tour moving smoothly, ensuring we saw everything, remained engaged the entire time, and never felt rushed. If you are visiting Budapest, do not miss this museum—and if you get Csillag as your guide, consider yourself lucky! 10/10 (I also appreciated that no photos or video were allowed as it kept everybody focused and didn't delay the tour with everyone taking selfies.... Which I admittedly am guilt

Very interesting exhibit. Explains excellently the several occupations of Budapest and the complicated history it has had. Gave me appreciation for the Hungarians themselves and their desire for good despite trying circumstances. Very sobering and the full size helicopter was absolutely amazing. Very well done and sobering view but excellent presentation. Great history and great artifact preservation. Incredible!!

The Hospital in the Rock was one of the most unique and fascinating experiences I’ve had in Hungary. The history is incredibly well-preserved, and walking through the underground hospital and nuclear bunker truly brings the past to life in a way that books and documentaries simply can’t. The only downside was the no-photography policy. While I understand the reasons behind it, it’s a shame I couldn’t capture any pictures to share this remarkable experience with friends and family. It’s definitely something that has to be seen in person. A huge shout-out to our tour guide, Gabi, whose knowledge, enthusiasm, and storytelling made the visit even more memorable. She brought the history to life and answered every question with impressive detail and passion. Her guidance elevated an already amazing tour into an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Budapest and interested in history.

Museum tour is very informative , short and controlled. Taking photographs inside the museum is not allowed. I had done advance booking online. This is good to do as there is a certain number of people allowed to enter the museum in each hour.
