Before I start, let me say this: it’s hard to beat this place for the price. You get a private room and bathroom in a central part of Budapest for about the cost of a higher-end hostel. That said, here are a few things to keep in mind so you know what you’re getting into if you decide to stay here: * The place is old and not particularly clean. I found pieces of what appeared to be an ancient sandwich in the corner of the room, and the shower looked like it had seen things. Bad things… The sheets and towels, on the other hand, seemed reasonably clean, so… small victories. * There was no A/C in my room. Luckily, I didn’t stay here on a particularly hot day and managed to sleep reasonably well with one window open. Once the sun starts shining through the windows, though, the room begins its transformation into a budget sauna. * There weren’t any conveniently located power outlets in my room. The two lonely bedside lamps just stood there with their cords dangling hopelessly. So, no night light and my phone had to spend the night charging on the floor like it had been grounded. No late night doom scrolling for me, but I guess that is a good thing. * The hotel is noisy, with paper-thi

Decent choice if you're looking for a cheap place just to sleep over. The location is excellent, everything is close by or well connected. The hotel itself wasn't as bad as I expected based on reviews, but it's definitely far from a 3-star hotel. Everything was reasonably neat and clean but the whole hotel could use heavy renovation. Most of the sockets were hanging from the wall, safe didn't work and pretty much all furniture was in terrible shape. The staff on the other hand were extremely friendly, basic toiletries were available in the room and the hotel was well heated. Overall, it's fine considering the low price, basic, simple rooms close to everything, but if you're planning to stay longer than a night, it's probably better to book somewhere else.

Brilliant cheap place to stay! It could do with a bit of money spending on it for minor stuff like sockets on the walls being repaired. The room was nice, I had a balcony and double bed. The place location wise I felt was really good, I was able to walk throughout the city very easily but it’s also close to a lot of public transport if that’s your preferred method of getting around.

29th Jan to 2nd Feb weekend stay A little out of the centre but good links to the underground and trams. This hotel is not the most stylish, its dated and a little mismatched....BUT ... the room and all communal areas were very clean. Beds were comfortable, and the staff very helpful. Two adults at £101 for 3 nights was an absolute bargain. Hairdryer shower, TV with Hungarian channels, safe lift, outside seating courtyard, luggage room, 24hr reception. I didn't take photos sorry
